In early June 2026, the ScanNanoTreat consortium gathered in Lyon for a two-day meeting hosted by Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, marking the completion of the project’s first year.
The meeting brought together partners from across Europe to review the progress achieved since the project’s launch and to discuss results across the different work packages. This important milestone provided an opportunity to take stock of the scientific and technical advances achieved during the first phase of the project and to align on priorities for the coming months, as the consortium prepares for upcoming reviews and key milestones.
Throughout the meeting, discussions highlighted the strong interdisciplinary collaboration at the heart of ScanNanoTreat. Exchanges between academic and industrial partners enabled a constructive review of ongoing activities and reinforced the integration of complementary expertise required to advance research at the interface of nanomedicine and medical imaging.
A key highlight of the event was the visit to the Spectral Photon-Counting CT (SPCCT) scanner, one of the project’s enabling technologies. Partners gained first-hand insight into the system and its ongoing development, as well as its potential to support future advances in diagnostic imaging and therapeutic evaluation within the project.
